Hi,
i've just updatetd to V4.9.1 of Toshiba C&S.

Now i added an email notification into wf start trigger (see attachement). The verfification user get an email when new documents waiting for verifivation.

But also when the server reboots the user get an email! But there are no documents into verification queue!

best regards
Dirk

Hi Dirk,

I can not replicate your issue.

But it seems strange to me because the restart should not cause any triggering, so the reason you receive an email is because for some reason the workflow starts.

Are you sure there is no document in the incoming? if some documents are present it is normal for the email to be sent.

However if your purpose is to notify the user of the document in verification, I suggest you insert an email trigger before sending in verification:

Best regards,

Luca

Hi Luca,
where is the difference between the two possibilities to send an email by wf!?

I've expected that when the wf starts one email will be send independently how many documents will processed into verification queue by this wf run.
But it will be send an email for every document into verification queue! This is useless for us, becaus we have hundreds of documnets to verify!
And it is equal if i trigger the email at the start of the wf or i use the way you suggest to do it!

That's make no sense to me! Two different ways to do get the same result!
Your software drive me nuts, nothing works like expected!

best regards
Dirk

Hi Dirk,

sorry but you are very confused about the functionality of our software and do not use our settings randomly to adapt them to your purposes  ehehehehlaughing.

The difference between the two trigger is:

- The trigger at the beginning of the workflow is started every time that workflow starts, ie every time it starts to process a document. For example, we have 5 scans in input, each time a job starts, it sends an email in your case 5 emails.

- The trigger (conditional) as I advised above, every time it passes on that link then sends an email. I do not know your workflow, but it is logical that if you have only one link the result you have is the same to the trigger above (for the verification you can check this post https://forum.scanshare.com/thread/howto-read-data-by-using-the-icr-with-user-verification/ ).

However, your problem was sending the mail when restarting the server, this is not a problem because I have checked and not sent mail at every restart of the server. So I think you have made an improper use of the Start Trigger wink.

If you can't get it working kindly send your workflow to our support at support@scanshare.com.

Thanks

Best regards,

Luca
