Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced an issue when trying to install Enterprise with V4.10.00 where the installer stops and you are prompted by this message "Scanshare has detected pending system changes that requires a restart. To continue please reboot the computer and run the setup again." This message still happens after the restart and has even occurred on different PC's with both 32/64 bit versions. Hope you can help.

look if Windows updates (.net) are in the Pipeline.
update first, than install.

Hi Andre,

...or for more technicians as you can see from the installation logs there is a check inside some registry keys ... :

something in your system is set up that does not depend on our Application because during the installation we only run a script to check if there is something hanging on the server. I suggest you check if existing these 3 registry keys:
- HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\RebootPending
- HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\RebootRequired
- HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
in this case please check if the property "PendingFileRenameOperations" and if it exists, what's inside it...

...If the first two didn’t exist and if in HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager that has something pending, if you delete the file in it you will see that everything should work.

However from the last internal version v4.10.0.7 we added the choice by the user to continue the installation with the server reboot at the end (if needed). So in case of we suggest you install it cool.

Have a nice day!

Ciao Lucca

Version worked perfectly and allowed me to continue installing the software with no restarts required.

Grazie mille
